WESTERN-ALGARVE
West-Algarve is a piece of uninterrupted wild nature. Almost the complete untouched coastline is occupied by the National Park of Costa Vincentina. A landscape full of cliff coasts interspersed with sandy beaches where the wind and the waves of the Atlantic ocean have free play.
In the interior eucalyptus, umbrella pines and cork oaks form the backdrop for spreading picturesque villages with vineyards and farms. Serra de Monchique and Foia in the inland are the highest located places of the province in this region. The entire region enjoys 300 sunny days a year.
Unlike the very touristy south, West Algarve attracts more active, sport and nature loving tourists. There are a lot of possibilities for a pleasant stay with a multitude of activities and challenges.
